    Game rules for Short Contexto


    Read the game rules carefully twice.

    1. Guess the secret word in seven attempts.
    2. You are provided with words that are contextually nearest to the hidden word. The list of nearby words was compiled using Stanford's GloVe AI algorithm, which calculates contextual proximity between words. Words that most frequently appear in the same text are contextually closest.
    3. At the beginning, you only see one nearby word, with each wrong attempt a new nearby word is revealed.
    4. If you enter the wrong word, you get three hints:
    4.1. Meaning of colors:
    FISH
    You have guessed the hidden word.
    SEA
    The word is on the list of the seven contextually closest words.
    TREE
    The word is not among the seven contextually closest words.
    4.2. Technical similarity of words
    We use the Jaro-Winkler method to calculate the technical similarity between a word and the hidden word. Similarity is expressed as a percentage. The Jaro-Winkler method takes into account factors such as word length, matching letters, and the order of those letters.
    4.3. Word length (number of letters)
    An up arrow means that the hidden word is longer than the entered word.
    An arrow to the right means that the hidden word has the same number of letters as the entered word.
    A down arrow means that the hidden word is shorter than the entered word.
