Game Rules for Larger Country


Read the game rules carefully twice.

1. Guess the factor by which the area of the first country must be multiplied to get the area of the second country.
2. The arrows help you:
An upward arrow means the correct answer is higher than the number you entered.
A downward arrow means the correct answer is lower than the number you entered.
3. Your answer counts as correct if the factor you enter is within 2% of the correct factor.
4. The world map (Google Maps) will help you. Warning: Google Maps uses the Mercator projection, so the areas around the North and South Poles are shown larger than they actually are.
5. Example A:
South Korea 100,210 km²
Poland 312,679 km²
The correct factor is 3.120
South Korea × 3.120 = Poland
6. Example B:
South Korea 100,210 km²
Ireland 70,273 km²
The correct factor is 0.701
South Korea × 0.701 = Ireland
